Rocky Shore Trip and Last Day of FABruary (28/2/14)

Hello MEDL!

I hadn't realised that the second month of the year has come to an end. I've been constantly drowning in homework, extra-curricular activities, social life, and my own personal situations. How was it for you all? I hope you're enjoying this year so far.

Yesterday I went on a field trip with my classmates and another class to a rockpool beach, and I can say that it has been the best school field trip I've ever been on. I was with friends building a sandcastle, finding particular sea creatures, and having a blast!

WORST WEEK EVER! (22/2/14)

Hello dear readers!

I just had the worst week ever! Yay! (sarcasm)

I really don't know how it happened. Have I been bad? Do I deserve it? Was this all based upon my terrible decisions?

Let's reflect upon my week:

Monday: I had my first singing lesson with my two classmates. One happens to be my old best friend and I have never met the other classmate. The lesson went smoothly, but I had to miss one of my favourite subjects and borrow Regina's book to copy off the notes I missed out on that lesson.

Tuesday: Mega rush night! I had to write my poem for English, classify molluscs for science, and write up a Letter's to Electra post on Electra and Marian.

Wednesday: Letters to Electra post came out. Can't remember what happened this day.

Thursday: Started to feel sick. Like 'about-to-faint' sick (dizziness)

Friday: The worst day of this week. Regina embarrassed me by saying that I wanted to play chess with the nerdy boys. Ran away to the music suite. Felt a lot better there. Played keyboard for the first time in five years. I love you, music. But then something happened when I was walking home. A little boy spat on me. Was really fed up with everything negative this week.

The Outsider, are you there? I'm going to ignore you, write in my gratitude journal, and get on with my life.

Singing, How About That? (10/2/14)

If you read my second blog, Electra and Marian, you'll know that I'm planning to take singing lessons this year. I had my first lesson which was an evaluation to see how my voice sounds like. Here's the story:

I walked into the music suite, and I was greeted by the head of the music department. He asked why I was there in the middle of class time. I simply told him about my singing lessons and he lead me to a small room. I already knew about that room because I signed up in that same area. I knocked on the door, not being clear of what was happening inside since all of the rooms in the suite were very soundproof, unless you were playing a loud instrument. I knocked more, but the only thing I heard was a mumbling chatter. I finally had the confidence to open the door, but the teacher was also holding onto the doorknob. Embarrassing moment #1 accomplished. Well done Marian!

As I walked in, the teacher welcomed me. I was supposed to take the evaluation with a couple of other people, but they didn't appear to be there. She asked me a few questions about music, like what genres I prefer, if I play a musical instrument, etc. After the questions and answers, the teacher and I headed to the brown, small piano and she played some keys while I gave her a demonstration of my voice. Honestly, I probably sounded like a cat dying because I forgot to drink lots of water and practise before the lesson.

The lesson didn't take an hour, but half of that. It was pretty unexpected because I thought it would take the whole time of the class period. I had dance class then and we were creating choreographies. I went back to dance and waited 'til the day after (today) to see what time my lessons are.

Taadaa! I have no idea how to end this blog post. I'll tell you what I'm doing right now as I write! I'm chatting to my friend and she's currently making me laugh now! And it's also her birthday, she we're really hyped about that now. That's the reason why this post was published so late into the night. I'll see you on Electra And Marian tomorrow for Letters to Electra!

A New Friend (3/2/14)

Ciao!

I feel like we haven't talked in ages, MEDL! I hope I go through all this 'beginning of the year' stuff soon, so we can talk and share what's going on in my life with you. I'm signing up for as many co-curricular activities I can handle because last year I only signed up for two, being Litquiz (a quiz about books) and a writing group.

Besides that, I made a new best friend online! Her name is Gabriela. I met her on a website based upon the show Violetta and we're getting pretty close. I also made more friends, like Francesca, Kitty, Ally, and Amelia. No offence to my real life friends, but I feel like I'm more close to them. Is that bad? I'm deeply sorry. Woah, I can't believe I just said that. My friends are going to KILL me.

Since nobody posts comments on my blog posts (except Faith. Love you Faith!) I want you to reflect on what happened today. Does it make you laugh, cry, or just normal? I hope you had a productive day!
