Last Post of 2013, Learning Espanol, and Starting All Over Again (29/12/13)

Hello MEDL!

2013 is finally retiring and it has been such an interesting year for me, and I hope it has been too for you. I started intermediate, I changed the name of my second blog to Electra and Marian, and MEDL recently celebrated one year together. Even though if you all don't comment or share my blog posts, it's okay. My blogs are not about getting famous or anything, but for me to expose my passion of writing to the world wide web. But that doesn't mean you can't interact with the blog! Don't be afraid to comment or share my posts, or visit the MEDL page. I'll make sure to reply to all interactions made about my blogs.

While 2013 is still here, I'm finishing all the things that need to be done, like writing blog posts, and cleaning up. I'm also starting to write my New Year's Resolutions, and I will hopefully act up on them next year.

Since I want to expand my knowledge on the Spanish culture and understand what they're saying on Violetta, I'm learning Spanish by studying at home using books I find at the library. My goal is to speak fluently by the end of 2014, and I'm dreaming of either visiting Argentina or other Latin American countries. It's not a plan, it's a dream (only if my family has time and money, and a guide (because my family don't know much about places in Latin America)).

With a new year coming, you'll be expecting people to go crazy about it (*cough cough* me *cough*). Here are some sayings nearly everyone will be saying:

"New Year, New Me"
"I'll start a new healthy diet! And maybe fix up on my math skills!"
"I'll be more productive this year!"
"I won't forget to do the traditions when 00:00 strikes!"

That is all for 2013! Happy New Year everyone! Look after yourselves and God Bless!
Marian

FELIZ NAVIDAD! (25/12/13)

Today was beautiful.

I got the chance to spend some time with my close friends and loving family and have our first proper hosting of a party, and boy it takes a lot of hard work!

My parents were up early to organise and get everything ready while my sister and I were being lazy and playing Sims on my laptop. Procrastination and laziness are not the answers!

The party was very energetic and happy. The kids and a couple of teens were out in the backyard while the grown ups were inside. All of the families who were there exchanged gifts with each other and ate lots of food. I think I've eaten too much food because I feel like I've gained about 5 kilos today. I think we've found the one who's guilty in this case...

As I promised on my Facebook page, I took some snaps throughout my Christmas day.

Playing a fun game of badminton with my friend

This post actually ended up to be short. I guess not much happened than I expected it to be.
Thank you for reading and I hope you all had a very Merry Christmas! And to those on the opposite side of the globe from New Zealand, I hope you all will have a very blessed day!

My Holiday So Far (17/12/13)

"Marian, how are your holidays going so far?"

Not too shabby. I'm totally loving the warm sun here in NZ, but the only problem is that I'm not getting out of the house much. I just stay inside blogging and dancing and using the laptop. But I'd like to show you some photos I took in the holidays.

Smile for the camera!

"These cuts and bruises remind me that
bad things have good things hidden inside them"
The quote was inspired by one of my best friends.

May be childish, but I love the recipes!

Say Hello to Summer! (10/12/13)

Hello Marian's Everyday Life!

I finished my school year as a year seven and it feels pretty saddening (sorry for the corniness). Even if I'm not exactly a year thirteen yet, I feel like I'm not attending school any more in my life. School is where you fail, succeed, and enjoy your life as a student.

Enough with the saddening bits! Grrr...
Here's how my last day of school for 2013 went:

I came early to school for some reason. I wasn't really excited to go today, because Gwen wasn't planning to come to school because of her trip to India, and we didn't have a full day, which bugged me a bit about the day because I thought that it would ruin the routine a bit.

When I arrived my class and I did the usual classroom stuff (roll call, notices, etc.) and then tidied up the classroom. We stacked the tables up on one side because the carpet was going to get cleaned, moved the chairs into the gym because they needed it for prize giving later on, and had interval. Since Gwen wasn't present, Regina and I just played on Regina's phone and ate food.

The junior school (because the seniors had already left school earlier) had a prize giving for the year. It wasn't that bad because it was about congratulating the people who got what they deserved. My hands are still sore from clapping as I write today's update!

The prize giving took about a hour and a half to finish and the school went back to their form classes. My class sat down on the floor and received our reports, magazines, and special end of year goodie bags (Just so you know, magazines are what we call yearbooks). Like every other magazine, there's a page where everyone writes their signature. I only managed to get two people, Regina and another girl in my 2013 class, because we didn't have enough time to sign all books. Everybody hugged each other and said their farewells for the eight weeks to come of not hanging out at school and having a relaxing rest.

Pretty sad, isn't it? Well, that's what I think. I'm sorry if I probably ruined your happiness streak, or whatever mood you're in. All I can say left is that a load of other pupil and I just finished another chapter of our academic story, and getting ready for another chapter ahead. Thank you for reading and thanks to the people who helped me finish this journey of being a year seven.

Bye!

Christmas Par-tayy! (7/12/13)

I attended a Christmas party tonight and it was boring! Yay!

Nevermind. I actually had a lot of fun. I ate delicious food and danced with my friends and family.

At first, I didn't dance. But later on, I danced.

HELLO MISS OBVIOUS.

Sorry, I just want to fill up some space on today's blog post, so you all wouldn't be bored with a short one.
