Olympics Everywhere! (31.7.12)

Wherever I go I see the words and digits "London Olympics 2012". Wow! I love the Olympics because I love sports and beautiful performances of the athletes. Did anyone watch the opening ceremony? It was spectacular. My favourite part was when Rowan Atkinson (a.k.a Mr Bean) was playing the keyboard while doing things like grabbing a tissue, texting and daydreaming about running on the shoreline at a beach with a group of men.

My class is currently studying about the Olympics and I love it! We study about how the games started, who created the games, what kind of countries are participating, etc.

Sausage! (30.7.12)

Today right before school me and my class played a game called Sausage. It's a game where all of the people go in a circle and the creator of the game picks a person to go in the middle of the circle. Everybody asks the person in the middle a funny question but the person in the middle has to reply with 'sausage'. If that person smiles or laughs, he/she is out and takes the asker who asked the question's spot and the asker has to repeat what the last player was. I was the person who made a person laugh and I got into the middle. It was hard for me to not laugh because my classmates'
questions were hilarious and funny.

Video Chat Attempt (29.7.12)

Today I tried to video chat Samantha on Tinychat but I nearly broke the computer! But luckily mum repaired it when I shut it down. I was feeling stressed but now I got it back! Yay!

Terrible Headache (28.7.12)

Dear Blog Readers,
I'm sorry that I didn't update yesterday. I'm going to do two blog posts today because I missed out yesterday. I'll explain everything in this blog post.

Today was horrible. I had a irritating headache that didn't let me do anything except lie in bed sleeping like a baby but with a headache. But my mum and dad told me we had to go buy food for the week and go to a dinner. The headache faded away when we went grocery shopping but it came back when I went to a dinner party. I tried to forget about the headache but it irritated me so much that I couldn't forget about it. Me and my family went home before everybody did so that I can take medicine and go to sleep.

Golden Time! (27.7.12)

Today was awesome because it was golden time! Golden time is when we have a fun time with our class or another class. Samantha was drawing while I was playing with a foam javelin for some weird reason. It was just so fun playing by myself. I think it's because I like private time by myself...

Getting my sporty side on with my 100 bests friend (26.7.12)

At lunchtime today me and my 100 bests friend (A.K.A my pretend mammi) played a variety of sports like soccer and netball. We both played on our school court. It felt like we owned the court because hardly nobody was there.  Even though we didn't play properly and we sweated alot, we still had fun!

The shy side of me (25.7.12)

The horrible secret about me is that I'm very shy. I never put my hand up in class (even when I know the answer), I don't talk to my classmates, I always try to hide myself and more things a shy 10 year old girl would do. Today I was very quiet. I didn't shout but I talked when I only needed to. It sucks being shy.

Marco Polo (24.7.12)

Today me, Te Mania and the two Samanthas played a game called Marco Polo. It's a game when the tagger has their eyes closed and spinned around 3x and tries to chase the other players with their other senses that are useful. The first tagger was Te Mania. She's got long arms and successfully tagged me. I was the next tagger and couldn't tag anyone. Marco Polo is hard!

Horrid Henry with class (23.7.12)

Dear blog readers, I won't be able to do the 'Blog creator Marian Yao' thing because I now use my iPod touch to update blog due to my parents using the computer that I usually use for updating this blog. But here is a new blog post! Hope you enjoy! -Marian

 Today was a wet lunchtime and morning break time so my teacher decided to put on a movie on our huge classroom activ boad (Screen projector). The movie she put on was a movie called Horrid Henry. Me and Samantha talked through the whole movie screening because we don't know why (me and Samantha get bored easily an talk about it) and at the end of the movie we decided to quiet down and watch it. My classmates enjoyed the movie and wanted our teacher to play he movie again!

All Selenators and Selena Gomez fans should know today is our Selena's 20th birthday. Welcome to the adult world Selena! Today is also "Teens Choice Awards". So I bet Selena will have a very busy birthday preparing for the awards and having a party! Hope you have a nice birthday Selena!

My Friend's Awesome Party (20.7.12)

Right after school today me and my other friends went to my classmate Talia's birthday party (it wasn't her real birthday party we just came to her party to celebrate). We played and sang along to songs from sing star on her Play Station. We sang songs from Abba like Thank You for the Music, Mama Mia, SOS and then Talia changed the disc and all of us girls sang along to When You're Gone by Avril Lavigne, Grace Kelly by Mika and heaps of other songs. Next, it was time for opening pressies! The other girls got Talia a mini bowling set, a cute little fluffy cat toy, etc. I gave Talia a Tinker Bell kite because my mum found it lying in my room unused. I thought she would hate it but she said joyfully "Thank you Marian! I've always wanted a kite!" And then she hugged me tightly. After that we ate Nachos, Mince Pies, Sausage Rolls and Cake. But sadly, the party came to an end. We all had to go home. What an awesome party! I am very thankful that I got invited.

Hair Plays! (19.7.12)

Today at lunchtime Samantha was busy drawing with my classmate Janna and my other friend Samantha I so me and Te Mania were sitting on a bench outside our class and I removed my hair tie and let Te Mania braid (plait) my hair in a french braid. Since my hair is short Te Mania did a small one. Of course I said thank you and asked her if we could walk around the whole school. We walked for thirty minutes and when the end of lunch bell rang we went back to class. Samantha I said "What a pretty braid! Who did your hair?" And I replied "Your best friend Te Mania did it. She's so good with hair aye?" Then Samantha replied "Oh so pretty!". I loved this day because I got to bond with Te Mania and got a new hair style.

Back to School Term 3 (17.7.12)

What an awesome start to a new term! The weather was nice and shiny, I got to sit at the same table as Samantha, I got a silver medal, I got invited to a party and our class will be studying about the Olympics (because the London 2012 Olympics is next month). I hope this term will be exciting and full of happiness!

Bye Bye Term 2 Holiday (16.7.12)

I feel so sad because school is starting tomorrow. I just wanna play on the computer and watch movies at home but I have to study a lot and update this blog late in the night. I am a leader and all leaders have to be at school earlier than the other kids because leaders set up activities before school every term that has to do with our topic the whole school is learning. Last term we did structures and the leaders got to do a huge structure. This term we are going to study cycles so the we have to do activities about cycles. It takes a lot of time to organize this day with just 1 hour to prepare.

Hachi (15.7.12)

This afternoon I watched Hachi: A dog's tale. It's such a cute and sad movie that I almost cried. Here is a plot typed from Wikipedia:

In the modern day, a class full of young students are giving oral presentations about personal heroes. A boy named Ronnie (Kevin DeCoste) stands up and begins to tell of 'Hachiko', his grandfather's dog. Years before, an Akita puppy is sent from Japan to the United States, but his cage falls off the baggage cart at an American train station, where he is found by college professor Parker Wilson (Richard Gere). Parker is instantly captivated by the dog. When Carl (Jason Alexander), the station controller, refuses to take him, Parker takes the puppy home overnight. His wife Cate (Joan Allen) is insistent about not keeping the puppy.

A few years later, Hachi and Parker are as close as ever. Parker, however, is still mystified by Hachi's refusal to do normal, dog-like things like chase and retrieve a ball. Ken advises him that Hachi will only bring him the ball for a special reason. One morning, Parker leaves for work and Hachi sneaks out and follows him to the train station, where he refuses to leave until Parker walks him home. That afternoon, Hachi sneaks out again and walks to the train station, waiting patiently for Parker's train to come in. Eventually Parker relents and walks Hachi to the station every morning, where he leaves on the train. Hachi leaves after Parker's safe departure, but comes back in the afternoon to see his master's train arrive and walk with him home again. This continues for some time, until one afternoon Parker attempts to leave, but Hachi barks and refuses to go with him. Parker eventually leaves without him, but Hachi chases him, holding his ball. Parker is surprised but pleased that Hachi is finally willing to play fetch the ball with him. Worried that he will be late for the college, Professor Parker leaves on the train despite Hachi barking at him. At work that day Parker, still holding Hachi's ball, is teaching his music class when he suddenly suffers a fatal heart attack.

FRIDAY THE 13TH! (13.7.12)

Do you guys know and believe in Friday the 13th: The bad luck day? Well, today I didn't have any bad luck.
This week I had a painful sore stomach. When I woke up today, it vanished! I was able to do things properly like read my book, do chores or write in my diary without any distraction from the sore stomach I had.

In the morning, me and my mum went to McDonald's to have breakfast and boy it was delicious! We both had hotcakes (pancakes) and hot chocolate.

During the day time I played my guitar to some songs and sang along as well. After playing, I watched a movie called "Bridge to Terebithia". Josh Hutcherson and AnnaSophia Robb star in the movie. When the movie was over, I went on Ameba Pico and saw the amount of gummies I had (600) so I went on gacha and on my first spin I got a free token! I spent the token on blue shorts.

Night time came and I remembered I forgot to update this blog. So here I am updating while listening to my favorite singer Marina and the Diamonds. What a happy day! No problems, bad luck or curses.

This morning I woke up and logged in then clicked on my stats tab and saw 16 people from Russia viewing my blog! Thank you Russia! Man, I didn't expect Russia to be viewing my blog.

Shoebox Turtle Home (10.7.12)

Today I found an old shoebox and my 3 homeless toy turtles. I got creative and got out my white sequin shirt to be the bed and my green beanie to be the turtle's blanket. For the pretend food and water I used white play-do to be the food, blue flattened out play-do to be water and two play-do tops to be the bowls.

Those two turtles from the right are littlest pet shop turtles and the one on the left side are given to me by Samantha because she knows how much I love turtles.

Ice Skating Again! (9.7.12)

Yesterday mum told me that I was going to go ice skating again today (Mum's not going to ice skate because she doesn't want to) with her friend's daughters. This is my 3rd time going ice skating  and was able to go really fast as my classmate Te Mania. This is a photo of me skating with my mum's friend and my friend:

I fell about 4 times. It's really slippery when you go outside the shade because the sun is melting the ice and that's why I don't go there. When I reach the end of the shade I just turn around and start skating. I love ice skating! The ice rink is leaving next week and I'm going to be sad because there's no more ice skating rink. But in November I will be going to year 6 camp and go ice skating again.

Friendship Scrapbook (8.7.12)

Today I saw a lot of stationary I brought home from the last day of school on my desk and saw a spare green folder with nothing inside it. I had free time and got an idea. Make a scrapbook about me and Samantha! I'm doing it for Samantha's birthday which is a long way away but I decided to do it early because I might lose the idea when her birthday is coming up.

To start it off I made a "happy birthday" message and told her about the scrapbook. It was just one paragraph because I didn't have anything else to write about.

After finishing writing my one-paragraph message, I slid some photos of Samantha and myself into the green folder's pages. There was a picture of me and Samantha and a drawing made by Samantha.

Me and my dad decided to go to a shop for buying a gift for Samantha and my dad's friend. I bought Samantha a wrist band that said "Sweet As". A sentence that us kiwis like to use a lot.

I will finish the rest of the scrapbook by the end of the holidays. I hope Samantha doesn't see this post until she receives the gift on her birthday!

MaiRie Étoile X MiaRi Étoile (6.7.12)

Most pico players know Mai and Mia Étoile also known as the Étoile sisters. If you are you a non pico player, you should go to their youtube channel (http://www.youtube.com/user/cherrygirlkaede) or blogspot (http://etoile-sisters.blogspot.jp/). Mai makes stunning videos. My favorite video they both made is called "When I look at you". It's their latest music video.

 

 They didn't act in it, but Mai edited it with a video editing program. The effects are advanced, the story is beautiful and the actors/actresses make the video cool. This graceful song was originally sung by Miley Cyrus but it was made into a medley of Miley's top songs by a girl called Christina Grimmie.

Ladies and Gentlemen, may I introduce you to Germaine and Claudine! (5.7.12)

 Blog readers, it's time to introduce you to Germaine and Claudine.

Both girls live on the same country as me. Me and Samantha started a group with them called "Babysitters Club". We've been hanging out with each other since last year.

Germaine lives in a different city far away from me and Samantha. She's the same age as me. We met in Ameba Pico when we were both newbies. Me and her talk whenever she's online in Wooz world and Ameba Pico. It's hard to chat to her in Ameba Pico because she's rarely online. Germaine is so sweet and happy when I met her.

Claudine is a gorgeous and nice girl. She lives at the same city as me and just a year younger and goes to the same school as me. She's currently in the same class where I studied last year. Me and Samantha met her at school this year but we know lots of cool things about her. Just like Germaine, Claudine also plays Ameba Pico and Wooz world and she's always online when I'm online too.

I love both of them. They really help me whenever I need help. Both girls really cheer me up when I feel down.

Baking with mum (4.7.12)

Today me and my mum didn't have anything to do so we both decided to make an Oreo cheesecake. Making the crumby bit was fun because you got to whack it with a rolling pin. But on the other hand, the creamy bit was hard. The cream cheese was hard to mash but we just left the cream cheese lumps in the presentation. Mum tasted it and she said it was delicious and loved the cream cheese. When I tasted it the cream cheese tasted yuck (I'm not a big fan of cheese).

But me and my mum just used Oreos for the topping and for the creamy bit.

Brave (3.7.12)

Tonight me and my dad watched Brave and it had an amazing story. For those who have seen it, I think you will agree with me. And for those who haven't seen it, Brave is about a princess named Merida who's mum is always telling her to be a proper princess. She was so annoyed and wanted freedom so she went to a mysterious woman's carving store. Merida found out that the mysterious woman is a witch! So she asked the witch to make a spell about her fate and make her mother let Merida have freedom. Turns out that the spell was to make her mother a bear! If Merida doesn't fix the spell by the second sunrise the spell will be permanent. At the end of the movie, Merida fixes the spell and lives with her family happily.
Throughout the whole movie screening I was coughing because I still have a terrible sore throat since Saturday.  

Fairy Tail Marathon! (2.7.12)

All day I watched Fairy Tail on youtube since that show doesn't show on my television. Fairy Tail is an anime cartoon series which features a celestial wizard called Lucy. She gains friends and gets included to a famous guild called "The Fairy Tail Guild". Lucy gets invited to a team with the most powerful wizards in Fairy Tail. Her team mates are Gray, an ice wizard and usually has a habit of forgetting to put clothes on. Natsu, a wizard that uses fire and becomes Lucy's first friend in Fairy Tail and Erza, a wizard that can re equip armor whenever she needs to.
